by Jeremy Sabol

This winter, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will offer a series of workshops for Teaching Assistants, focusing on issues that TAs face in their multiple roles in a course.

The first workshop, Maintaining Websites on the Leland Servers, will focus on the skills needed to update or maintain non-CourseWork web sites. Topics will include transferring files to Leland, Unix commands, and editing HTML. This workshop will be followed by two PowerPoint workshops, Basic Hands-On PowerPoint and Advanced Hands-On PowerPoint, which focus on the practical concerns of making effective slides.

For more information, check CTL's web site at:

In addition to workshops, the Center for Teaching and Learning also offers individual consultations on pedagogical aspects of technology, and access to external and home-grown technology enhancements for teaching.
