Unfortunately, we all have to deal with spam (unsolicited, unwanted email). It clogs our inboxes, wastes resources, and often contains inappropriate material. Fortunately, there are three weapons you can utilize in the battle against spam:
1. Use the mail server Spam Deletion tool. This tool removes spam before it enters your inbox. This is a set-it-and-forget-it tool that deletes spam before it is delivered. You never see the spam.
2. Use the mail server Anti-Spam filter. The filter does not delete incoming email, but instead scans it and adds the word "SPAM" to the subject line of suspicious email. It then sends the complete email to you as usual. The advantage is that almost all incoming spam is pre-identified for you.
3. Set your email client to filter or remove email tagged as spam. When you use the Anti-Spam filter, all that is required are a few settings on your email client to move incoming spam directly to the trash or into a different "spam" folder where you can check it for "false positives" before deleting it.
Complete information about all three anti-spam weapons, including email client configuration, is available at:

Use all three tools and you'll remove 98 percent of the spam from your inbox. It's not a perfect solution, but it can certainly make dealing with spam much easier.
