DIPPR 801 Thermophysical Property Database and DIADEM Predictive Software
by Grace Baysinger
The DIPPR(r) 801 Database is an extensive database of rigorously evaluated pure component data on industrially important chemical compounds. It contains a total of 1891 compounds to date.
Recommended values can be found for 48 properties for each compound in the database; i.e. raw data from the literature as well as critically evaluated and recommended values for each of the 33 constant properties. Raw literature data and equation coefficients for 15 temperature-dependent properties are also included for each compound. In addition, references, notes, and quality codes can be found for each thermophysical property. Five simultaneous users can use the Web version at one time.
DIADEM is a convenient interface to the DIPPR(r) 801 Database that enhances one's ability to view, calculate, plot and compare the thermophyscial properties in the database. Stanford University Libraries and Academic Information Resources (SULAIR) has acquired a campus-wide site license for an unlimited number of users to download and use DIADEM. With DIADEM, you can:
- Predict properties using the automated prediction package,
- Search and compare multiple components,
- Compare user database with DIPPR(r) 801 Database,
- View multiple components at a time,
- Graph and plot thermophysical data points,
- Convert values,
- Calculate and compare properties at different temperatures,
- Set default units/add user units,
- Create and manage a user database, and
- View 2- and 3-D models of database compounds.
