Until now scientists have been forced into a step-wise process of asking a question, getting an answer, and then asking another question. With DiscoveryGate scientists can now ask one question and get many answers, all at once, in a seamless, integrated environment. DiscoveryGate provides this capability by connecting you with a single login to the three types of information that underlie all scientific decisions:
- Primary literature sources (e.g. journal articles and patent info),
- Secondary literature sources (e.g. databases), and
- Tertiary reference information providing reviews and commentary.
MDL Discovery Knowledge puts vast amounts of chemical and biological information at your fingertips. Search by any number of methods, including chemical structure to find information on synthetic methodologies, chemical sourcing or commercial suppliers, pharmacological information, and metabolism and toxicological information. Beilstein and Gmelin, two comprehensive handbooks, are available through this Web interface.
