GIS Data are now available for Pakistan, China, and India in Shape file format. All can be checked out from Branner Library.
- Pakistan boundary data is available at the ADM1, ADM2, and ADM3 administrative levels and includes the capitals.
- 2000 China Township Population Census Data with GIS Maps is available for many provinces. Included are layers detailing: 2000 township map with population census data (1:1 million scale); the county boundary map; the provincial boundary map; highways, roads, railways, rivers, and coastlines. Included in tabular format are 2,000 variables from the 2000 Census.
- India State Basemap GIS Dataset covers all states in India and includes: district and sub-district boundaries; locations of cities, towns, and villages over 5,000 people; railroads, roads, and airports. Census, socio-economic, and communications data are included.
All three datasets can be located through Socrates and checked out of Branner Library.
